Hill Top Playing Fields

Dear Parishioners

As you know the Parish Council is due to be installing a pavilion building at Hill Top Playing Fields between 11th March to 18th March (dates could be subject to change depending upon suppliers and weather). We do not anticipate any works taking place at weekends but there is likely to be some disruption to access.

The works will mostly take place on the north-east side of the playing fields between the car park and the ash tree (see attached plan). For some of the time there will also be a trench (marked red on the plan) that runs alongside the car park’s roadside hedge and then crosses the car park to the pavilion site. This might reduce the usable area of the car park.

The trench will be clearly marked and the main site will be secured with Heras fencing. If balls are kicked into the main site it will not be possible to retrieve them until the next working day.

Please ensure that everyone entering and using the playing fields with you is aware of the construction works and takes all sensible measures to ensure their personal health and safety.

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN

that due to the non attendance of Cara Green, a vacancy has arisen in the Office of Councillor for the Parish Council.

If by 31 October, 2023 (14 days excluding Dies Non, after the date of this notice) a request for an election to fill said vacancy is made in writing to the Returning Officer at the address below by TEN electors for the said Parish, an election will be held to fill the said vacancy, otherwise the vacancy will be filled by co-option.

If an election is called, it will take place not later than 5 January, 2024.

Time to Get Walking Again

With Spring on its way we start to think about getting out to walk in the beautiful English countryside again, but where to find new and interesting walks?

Walking in Warwickshire https://www.walkinginengland.co.uk/warwickshire has loads of walks to download and print, free, it also has books of walks, details of all the walking groups in the county and much more. Whether you want to walk on your own or with a group all the information is there in one place.

John Harris (who maintains the website) said ‘There is so much walking information on the web but it is difficult to find. Walking in Warwickshire (part of the Walking in England website) has brought it together in one place so whether you are walking from home, or away on holiday, you will be able to find a walk suitable for you’.

With walks from half a mile to twelve miles plus long, and a note of suitability for pushchairs and wheelchairs, everyone can find a walk to enjoy.
