Arley News Summer 2021
Hi everyone,
What a change to see sunshine and no sudden outbursts of rain, certainly feels like summer is here.
The countryside is really coming out and providing wonderful displays of bluebells, mayflower etc.
We seem to have hit a real problem with fly-tipping, especially in our picturesque lanes etc. If you witness any of this please notify NWBC/ Police please.
It’s good to see our new equipment at Gunhill Recreation Ground being used by a lot of people, please enjoy and get some fresh air and exercise.
At the moment CHESS football club use Hilltop Football Field but a further club, Grove Farm will be on there as well so if anyone is interested in joining them please get in touch with them. Whilst on the subject of Hilltop Football Field we are seeking funding and details to provide facilities up there. Covid 19 and lockdown has delayed all our efforts but will keep you informed.
If you have anything to report to us or need any help/advice please visit our website Arley Parish Council.co.uk or see contact details in our notice boards.
Finally, did anyone notice our four soldier silhouettes on display at Gunhill, Old Arley and two at Hilltop? Do you understand their significance? Just in memory of everyone who served/died fighting for our freedom in conflicts around the world.
Martin Langley
Chairman
Arley Parish Council
